Which character am I most like?
In the book, A Stolen Life, I think I am most like Jaycee because if I were kidnapped I would have reacted the same way. I would have been scared, I would have cried, and I would be asking myself so many questions. Jaycee reacted the way I believe I would react if I was put in that situation, which I hope I am never put in that situation.
Three Big Questions
Will Jaycee ever escape from Phillip and Nancy?
How will Jaycee tell her two kids about their biological father?
Why did they hold her captive for eighteen years?

Disliked Character
The character I dislike the most is Nick. Nick did not put much effort into his and Amy's marriage when things started to go wrong. He spent more time at The Bar than he did at home with his wife and he cheated on Amy for a little over a year before she disappeared. He cheated with one of his students named Andie. As well as cheating on Amy, he also moderately abused her. When she disappeared, he did not show much concern, he was always very calm and collected about the situation, but he always knew how to put on a good act for the media.
Three Big Questions
What happened to Nick and Amy after Amy returned home?
How did nobody recognize her when she was at the cabins since she was all over the news and the media?
How did Noelle Hawthorne react when Amy returned home?

How does the setting affect the book?
The setting of Gone Girl is in Missouri near the Mississippi River in 2012. It is a community where money is very tight and many people are laid off or unemployed. There were also many homeless civilians as well. Nick and Amy were both writers who were laid off and that is when their problems started. When Amy went missing, the police searched the banks of the river and they questioned the homeless considering the setting of their community
Suggesting This Book to a Friend
If I were to suggest this book to a friend, I would tell them the book is revolved around Amy, who has gone missing. I would not want to give them too much information. With that being said, there would not be much I could tell them with out giving too much of the book away.
