The Dialogue

The book The Outsiders, takes place on the west side of town, which is also the rough part of town. The houses are run down, there are always fights happening, and it is where the "greasers" live. Not many of the greasers are well educated and the reader can tell by the dialogue. They don't speak with very good grammar, but that does not seem to bother them. Along with grammar difficulties, some of them have a lack of respect towards others. The way to talk to girls is very demeaning and makes them feel uncomfortable.
